Massage Therapist

I specialize in slow-flow bodywork that maximizes relaxation and targets those hidden tight spots.

Los Angeles traffic is a beast, but no need to fight the 405 after your session. I deliver massage to your door so you can slot Zen between your Zoom calls, get in a little post-workout wellness, or reset for a good night's rest.

About

I've been a massage therapist since 2002. In my 20+ years of operation - through countless courses and clients - I've always kept compassionate, informed touch at the heart of my practice. As a former collegiate athlete who is currently competing at the Master's level, I'm very familiar with the variety of aches and pains the body can produce. But the secret to a good massage is remembering it's all connected.Crossing your legs could be the root of your shoulder pain... That fall where you hurt your hip might be why your calfs are tight and your neck feels tweaked...I enjoy blending knowledge, technique, and intuition to guide your muscles out of pain patterns so you feel better, mind, body and soul.

FAQ

What can I expect when I get a massage?
On your first visit we’ll briefly go over your health history so I’m aware of any conditions for which massage may not be appropriate, or any precautions that should be taken to ensure your massage is both safe and enjoyable.

We’ll also discuss your session goals. It’s important to keep in mind that a standard full body massage can typically be completed in a 1-hour session, however if you have areas that require more focus or longer work, I’ll address those areas first and any remaining time can be used on other areas of your body.
How should I prepare for my massage?
Two things to consider when preparing for in-home massage are your space and your body.

To prepare your space, ensure there is enough room for the table and enough clearance for me to work around it. I recommend a space that’s at least 8 feet by 5 feet minimum.

To prepare yourself for bodywork, eat a light meal 90 minutes or more before your session so your body has time to digest the food properly. Directly before, sip a little water, use the restroom, and take a few minutes to begin to relax. Put down anything that might be a source of stress and just sit for a few moments and breathe. Once you’re on the table, you’ll find it’s easier to get into a more relaxed state if you pregame with a little calm beforehand.
Do I have to be naked for the massage?
Nope!

Direct skin contact is best when using cremes or oils, but you’re invited to disrobe to your level of comfort. If you plan to remain clothed during your session or are having a myoskeletal alignment massage, wear clothing that moves with you like activewear or loose-fitting fabrics. Rest assured if you do disrobe, you’ll remain under the sheets for the duration of the session. I will only undrape the area I’m working on and then cover you again once I’m done.
What should I do after a massage?
Relax! I know you’re busy, but immediately after your session it’s beneficial to take half an hour or so and let the effects of the bodywork sink in. Hydrate, do some light stretching, maybe climb into an Epsom salt bath if that’s available to you. Enjoy some quiet time, everything else will be there after you’ve recharged.
How often should I get a massage?
Massage is most beneficial when received consistently, as the results are the cumulative. For general maintenance I recommend at least one massage a month, or every 3 weeks if your time and financial budgets allow.

Bodywork in addition to regular, enjoyable exercise, eating nutritious foods (with the occasional delightful dessert thrown in because ice cream is great), and whatever awareness practice you find beneficial for your mental health will all help so much in enhancing your sense of wellbeing.

If you’re rehabbing an injury, dealing with chronic or acute pain, or dealing with emotions like grief that can get "stuck" in the body, increasing your massage intake to 2, 4, or even more times per month can help you feel better on a more frequent basis. We can work together to figure out a schedule that fits into your lifestyle and helps you reach your wellness goals.
What payment types do you accept?
I accept Cash, Venmo, Credit Cards, Zelle, and Apple or Google Pay
Should I tip?
Tips are appreciated but not required. If you would like to tip and want to avoid the awkward “how much” question, service industry standard is 20%, but truly, whatever you choose to give (or don’t) is completely up to you!

Referrals and reviews are also awesome, always appreciated, and won’t cost you a thing!
Can I extend my session?
Provided I have the space in my schedule, I’m happy to extend your treatment time. The rate is $25 for each additional 15 minutes, up to 2 hours of total massage time. Beyond 2 hours, the rate increases to $50 for each additonal 15 minutes.
Do I have to talk?
Nope, it’s your session. So outside of the occasional check-in to ensure the pressure is correct, or gentle instructions like “turn over” or “push against my hand” I won’t say a thing. Please do speak up if, for example, the pressure needs adjusting, or you’re otherwise uncomfortable. Then we can go back to silence.

And if you’re more of a talker, we can do that too (outside of charged topics like politics, religion, sex, the Lakers vs Clippers…just kidding on that last one).
Why am I sore after my session?
We’re stimulating your muscles during massage and applying pressure in areas that either haven’t been utilized in a while or have been over-utilized. In doing so, we’re pushing blood, nutrients, and lymph throughout your body, and creating an inflammation response. Much like when you haven’t worked out in a while, being moderately sore or inflamed after is completely normal and part of the healing process.

Receiving frequent bodywork can help lingering soreness subside over time. Hydrating, topical ointments like CBD, and Epsom salt soaks after your session can reduce soreness as well.
I have a question not in your FAQs.
No worries! Send an email, text, or call! I’ll answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability.

Practice Policies

My primary goal is to provide my clients with a professional therapeutic massage that supports them on their wellness journey. I understand "life" happens — unforeseen events like traffic, a meeting that runs late, an unanticipated illness, or any other uncontrollable situation might require you to cancel your appointment. Just so we're both considerate of each other's time, I've adopted and will enforce the following policies:DISCLAIMER
Mind-Body Redux provides massage therapy services for the primary purpose of relaxation and the relief of muscular tension. Services provided are in no way a substitute for examination, diagnosis or treatment by a physician. I am not qualified to diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness, nor am I qualified to perform spinal or skeletal adjustments. All information provided is educational in nature. By engaging in services with Mind-Body Redux you do so at your own risk.
COVID NOTICE
I’m in and out of multiple homes daily, and work with clients who are immunocompromised. For everyone’s safety, I will remain masked for the duration of your session. To help mitigate the spread of COVID as well as other airborne viruses, if you have any symptoms consistent with infection or are not feeling well, please notify me as soon as possible. Also note receiving bodywork while sick can make you feel worse, and that’s never the goal with massage. We can easily reschedule!
EXISTING AND NEW MEDICAL CONDITIONS
It is the responsibility of the client to keep me informed of any medical treatment currently being undertaken, and if necessary to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that massage sessions may be continued. The client must also keep me informed of any changes in health conditions.
RESERVATION FEE
A reservation fee of 25% of services may be required for all new clients. This fee holds an appointment and must be paid before an appointment time will be confirmed. The balance of any session is due the same day services are rendered.
Changing payment methods at the close of the massage is acceptable. In such a case, the new payment method will be used and the reservation fee will be refunded to the credit card used to hold the reservation. Please note, it may take 14 business days or longer for a reversal to clear your bank or credit institution.REFUND POLICY
All sales are final. Except as expressly stated herein, all services are non-refundable once rendered.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Please provide at least 24 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
Cancellations made with at least 24 hours notice will have the reservation fee applied to a future appointment. You will be charged the full amount of your scheduled massage session(s) if you fail to cancel prior to 24 hours before your massage appointment.
NO SHOW POLICY
Clients who fail to show for their massage appointment, or fail to cancel their appointment, will not be given a full or partial refund of their reservation fee. The reservation fee will not be credited to a future service, and the client will be charged the full price of their service.
ARRIVAL TO YOUR MASSAGE
I'll make every effort to arrive to your massage at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time in order to set up the space. However, as a mobile massage therapist, I have my own set of uncontrollable and unexpected circumstances to contend with, the primary being traffic during travel between sessions.
In the event I'm running behind schedule, I'll notify you via phone or text message with an estimated arrival time. If that time doesn't work with your schedule, I'll make every effort to reschedule your appointment as soon as possible. Alternately, you may cancel and request a full refund of your reservation fee.In the event you are late for your appointment, I may have to shorten your service in order to maintain my schedule. You will be charged the full price of the session. It is your responsibility to notify me, either via phone or text, that you will be late, and provide an estimated arrival time. I'll accommodate you as best I can, however, if the appointment must be cancelled the situation will be treated as a "No Show" and therefore subject to my No Show Policy. In that case, no full or partial refund of your reservation fee will be given.SCOPE OF PRACTICE
As a Certified Massage Therapist, I utilize health and medical history in order to apply the appropriate manual techniques with the intention of positively affecting my client's well-being. However, I do not diagnose, prescribe, or provide treatment for specific medical conditions without a doctor's supervision. I am required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow the recommendations of your physician.
Bodywork is never an appropriate treatment for infectious disease or contagious illnesses. Please do not schedule with the intent to treat such a situation. Cancel your appointment as soon as you become aware of your illness.RESPECT FOR CLIENT NEEDS AND BOUNDARIES
I'm happy to adjust pressure, music volume, time spent in a particular area, or move on if you request it. Please communicate your needs so you have the most positive therapeutic experience. You may stop a session or refuse a modality at any time.
PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
You understand this is a nonsexual massage. Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, the session will stop immediately, and you will be reported to the proper authorities. You will not be rescheduled.
The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. A professional distance will be maintained from these areas. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.
The discussion between the massage therapist and the client is confidential. The client may or may not choose to talk during the session. I'm happy to listen and converse if you so choose. However, it's best to keep away from typically charged topics.
